Our Story
We established Cap's Artistry unofficially in Fall 2022 with nothing but a passion for woodworking and a desire to create beautiful furniture for customers across the country. We love to see all the destinations our works have traveled to, from Maine to California, and right in our backyard of Howell, Michigan. We specialize in custom furniture and mantles, and are proud to have matched so many new projects to our customers' lives.
Our Process
All of our work begins with a free phone consultation to discuss your vision, style, materials, dimensions, budget, and more. We then work together to design a custom furniture piece that meets your specifications, source materials, and begin creating your custom made woodworks.
Once your piece is complete, we coordinate pickup (local) or shipping (Continental U.S. only) and the journey of folding your hand crafted custom furniture into your life can begin.
Custom Orders
We specialize in custom orders and love to bring our customers' vision to life. We additionally offer CAD drawings to ensure your vision aligns with our initial design after consultation. Please reach us via the chat or through our email capsartistry@gmail.com and we would be happy to begin working together to create a custom order for you, your family and friends, or business today.
Our Favorite Projects
We are excited to share some of our most recent and favorite custom builds that are inclusive of locally milled woods and metalwork from fellow small business owners.
Behind the scenes...
-
We strive to purchase wood that has been locally sourced and/or milled within Southeast Michigan. Through this procurement we are able to meet a variety of local businesses and craftsmen who are like minded in their passion for woodworking and willing to share their stories of success and failure.

Safety is important not only to our own family but also to yours. We use rubio monocoat on our furniture which is not only a low voc finish, but has superior matte finish, is durable and food safe. Due to the nature of the wood that we work with, no two live edge products look exactly the same, creating an entirely unique project for your home.
